"EACH PERSON'S LIFE IS LIKE A MANDALA"

"Each person’s life is like a mandala – a vast, limitless circle. We stand in the center of our own circle, and everything we see, hear and think forms the mandala of our life." – Pema Chodron

Have you ever thought about what a mandala represents? As circles appear in nature (eg. sun, moon, flowers), the mandala is believed to connect us to the natural world, representing unity and the cycle of life. The centre of the mandala represents your mind – your emotions, perceptions and outlook on life.

The literal meaning of mandala, which is a Sanskrit word, is circle and like a circle, the mandala represents wholeness. Moreover, mandalas or circles seem to occupy a place of great significance in human existence as it is the very shape of celestial bodies like the Sun, the Earth and the Moon.

A circle also denotes balance, perfection and eternity as the distance from its center to all points on it remains the same, from wherever it is measured.
